misplaced religion, buy her candy, feral vices, and blinded by stereo at blueberry hill.
went for buy her candy and missed them while waiting for a friend biking from SLU to the Loop. disappointing. but makes me want to get a bike
was very cold in there too. charming venue but certain things just felt off. bands must divorce themselves from any semblance of christian rock or else their music will become unimaginative. i feel very strongly about this
my roommate and i walked to blueberry hill though which was really nice. good 30 min walk, had no trouble on the way home too even though it was almost 11. u city is unbelievably nice, i feel so lucky
8.23
mold gold, ned collette, kevin harris, lex kosieradzki at gcadd
sooo good i had so much fun i went with my coworker kendra and i was kinda nervous bc we’ve never hung out before but it was so easy to just chill! i realized that i have a tendency to romanticize illinois. since my parents are from there and so is a boy i dated in college and also of course abraham lincoln. for some reason i asked kendra “do you feel like our country is weirdly horny for abe lincoln” and she said “hmm. no not really”

exp open mic night!
everyone was so good and i wish i had told them that but i was really not in a talking mood at all tonight for some reason. going to hang up the St Louis poem from Rowen’s Martha Stewart zine up on my wall at work :)

saw lucky shells, simon joyner, and jane wave at william a kerr last night. my favorite part was maybe the dude in the back yelling "everybody needs to get hype!!!" during a chill synth set. and exploring the creepy basement. and having good conversations! i love meeting people who are on the same wavelength. and i love bobbing my head to some music. i wanna go to a show where i can dance soon though, i've been craving that
will update thru january 2023 eventually thanks everyone for your patience
