best: one across from south city ymca. consistent rotation and actually good books

tower grove east one: on Arsenal, pretty solid. i noticed that there are several advanced reader copies in there from Read a book stl. it might be one of the closest little libraries to that used book store so my theory is that they put random stuff in there. definitely worth checking out, i think that might be the one i give my books to actually
discovered new location last night: end of crittenden across from tower grove (TGE). it’s on a veryyy fancy street and it had a lot of interesting classics with great covers, mostly from random used bookstores around stl (dunaway, rose’s bookhouse, some other ones that i didn’t recognize) so i think someone who knows ball frequents that one
also discovered another newspaper distribution box library last night near arsenal, it’s not on the littlelibrarymap and it’s not a very good one. it was a mess in there, it’s one shelf and then a pile of shit at the bottom that you could dig through if you wanted to but it’s not very promising. and the shelf blocks the space pretty well so it would hurt your arm to do so. the only item of interest was a book about jackie kennedy onassis, who i just read a wikipedia article about this week. and i feel like i know enough about all that
TGS Mcdonald ave near the library: in a cool old newspaper distribution box, mostly some bullshit but i got strange buildings there this week which was fire asf. worth investing in (meaning putting my books in there)
shaw near ices plain and fancy: pretty decent, had several titles i was interested in, sat down to read 6 million paperclips which had me sobbing on the sidewalk as the neighbors were moving in furniture lolll will definitely visit again
the best ones are in ucity unfortunately. amherst ave one is consistently solid. there's also one off big bend and forest park ave at 6962 pershing ave that i think a washu professor runs and it's always worth checking out
revisited the one in central west end near the chess museum this week per @lucky’s suggestion: the first time i visited i was intrigued bc they had a lot of interesting plays and one book about following your intuition which i found promising, though i didn’t take anything. this time it was even better, i got their eyes were watching god which i’ve always wanted to read and also this book called my canary yellow star which is sort of like fictionalized anne frank i think? overall i think it’s a good one, it’s pretty large and it seems like the materials get cycled through relatively well
